The Poolvergnuegen PVN 4X Suction In-Ground Pool Cleaner is suited for larger pools. It uses your existing pump and filter for power and plugs into either your designated suction port or the skimmer. It is ideal for most average sized pools. It has patented self-adjusting turbines which maximizes the power from the water flow. This turbine is similar to a paddle wheel with blades that are adjustable. This feature allows the In-Ground Pool Cleaner to still move at low suction and low pressure. In addition the folding vanes of the turbine allow for the easy passage of larger debris through the cleaner.

This is by far the best cleaner I have ever owned. It is easy to setup and operate. I have had mine for 2 years and it has not needed anything for repair. If the hoses are to long they will coil up but it still cleans the entire pool.

My second Poolvergnuegen (translation = Pool Joy). Came out of the box and into the pool with no fuss. I upgraded to the 4 wheel PV4 suction from the five year old PV2 when the hose finally went (sunlight). I thought I had a problem but [...]revealed that I had not set the suction (Jandy) valve correctly on my pump.Pure POOL JOY! Great machine, easy to install, all parts replaceable by owner,[...] I could have refurbished the old PV2 but the online deal for a PV4 was about the same price as Hose + parts so I decided to buy a new unit and save the PV2 for parts. The cost of a replacement hose made the difference, otherwise the old unit would still be in the pool.The PV4 does have a bit more power and larger wheels with a bigger step-knob on the tires. The PV4 will suck-up fiddler crabs that the PV2 would just chase around. I don't know that is important to most folks but it really does the job!

It took 10 mintues to connect the hose sections and set the weight. It worked great from day one. Takes about 2-3 hours to completely clean our 30X15 foot oval-type pool with a water fall. It moves up the sides about 2 feet, but gravity keeps it from going higher, but that works great for us. It has never gotten stuck on the drains , that are raised. It only got stuck once on one of the steps. We have been running it everyday for over a month and its great. Highly recommend this cleaner

I have had the 2X poolvergnuegen for the past few years and it worked good. I called about replacing it and it was recommended to me the 4 X system for my pool size and debth. It is awesome to say the least. It cleans every bit of my pool twice as good as the other one and does it much faster. You can't go wrong with this pool cleaner.

I use these cleaners in all of the pools I service. I use both 2 Wheel PoolCleaner and 4 Wheel PoolCleaner. The 4 Wheel PoolCleaner is for LARGE pools, and I suspect from the previos 2 reviews was not dialed in or in a super small pool. Just make sure it is running at the correct speed (11 to 14 RPM (turns per minute on the right front wheel looking from behind)). These cleaners run at low suction so dialing in the suction is imprtant as they still move at low suction.

I have used all the other cleaners and the poolvergegen cleaners are the best. I was just crusing the internet and saw these reviews and thought Id help.

The Pool Cleaner is not good at removing a large number of leaves. The first time I used it, I had to remove leaves or other clutter from its suction. Even with somewhat of a clean pool right now, I typically have to clear the suction two to three times each use.

I thought after reading the good write ups off the internet on The Pool Cleaner that it would be an excellent cleaner. Wrong. It doesn't climb the walls and it takes all day to clean the pool.
